Bradley Stoke Fireworks another Resounding Success

BSTC - 5th November 2014

On Sunday 2nd November 2014, Bradley Stoke Town Council hosted its annual fireworks event for the twelfth year running. Each year sees the skies above Jubilee Centre transformed into a spectacular spectrum of colour for thousands to enjoy.

The Mayor Councillor John Ashe commented, "It’s wonderful to see yet another successful fireworks event in Bradley Stoke. It’s not only a fantastic community strengthening event, but also an opportunity for our residents to intermingle positively. The event also allows us to look back to a significant affair in our national history; the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

"During the evening we had an army of volunteers, with charity buckets, collecting for the Mayoral Charities this year. On the night, your generous donations raised £3,389.50 bringing the grand total collected this year to £8,065.82. The amount raised at the fireworks event was a significant increase of £602.49 on the previous year’s donations. Thank you for your kind generosity, as every penny will go to two good causes, the Great Western Air Ambulance and the Royal British Legion.

"Now entering the final leg of 2014, I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everybody well over this coming winter. I hope you all have a peaceful and happy Christmas"
